Why Pack Walk?

Pack Walks are springing up all over the world and they are a great way for dogs to experience life in a safe controlled environment.

Instinctively dogs would roam in packs in the wild and our 'Pack Walks’ help them engage in this natural pack behavior while being on a lead guided through different locations and experiences by an experienced pack leader. Being exposed to new sights, sounds, and smells in a controlled way is crucial in developing a dog’s ability to handle new situations. When properly introduced to new experiences, it desensitizes them to noises and distractions, and helps them stay calm in crowded streets, with other dogs, etc.

Dogs that have been properly socialized respond better to communication cues and have better social skills, and like children, will learn quickly from watching others. During pack walks, your dog can benefit from observing the other dogs modeling sensible behavior as a result of proper guidance. In a pack environment with trained walkers, dogs get the reassurance and validation they need to grow into confident dogs. Studies show that a structured Pack Walk can drain a dog’s restless energy and keep them mentally and physically fit over a visit to the dog park or even a long game of fetch. It’s also intellectually stimulating for the dog to meet different types of dogs, learn how to properly engage with people and work their minds to learn boundaries and rules so everyone can enjoy the walk as a team.

Above all, Pack Walks provide companionship – and chances are if you want to catch up with your friends regularly, your dog will want to as well! The end result of a Pack Walk? A relaxed and happy dog that has had ample mental, social, and physical stimulation for the day. Dogs come home tired and happy to see their owner... and their bed.
